Junior Chef

We are looking for a passionate and motivated

Junior Chef

to join our in-house club’s culinary team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys cooking different types of cuisine, takes pride in preparing good food and is keen tolearn and grow as part of a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients, including washing, cutting, marinating and portioning, according to recipes and daily preparation requirements

Cook and plate dishes to the standards set by the Head Chef, ensuring consistency intaste, portion and presentation

Support the preparation of buffets and club events when required

Assist with stock counts and highlight low stock items to the Head Chef

Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene andkitchen cleanliness

Work closely with the culinary team to provide aquality dining experience for the members

What We're Looking For

Certificate or Higher Nitec in Culinary Arts, orequivalent will be an advantage

Possess WSQ Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate

At least 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen, such as hotel, club, restaurant, or catering environment. Candidates with relevant culinary training or internship experience are also welcome to apply

Basic knowledge of Chinese, Western or Asian cuisine

Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team

Willingness to learn and take guidance from senior chefs

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Positive attitude and proactive approach to work

Able to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
