Junior Chef

We are looking for a Junior Chef to support the kitchen team in preparing and serving food items efficiently while maintaining food quality, hygiene, cleanliness and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior chefs with daily food preparation and cooking.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, chopping, peeling and portioning.
• Assist with mise en place before service.
• Prepare snacks, bakery items and other F&B products as per standard recipes.
• Follow approved recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards.
• Maintain proper food quality, taste and consistency.
• Support the kitchen during peak cinema show timings.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, workstations, utensils and equipment.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and grooming standards.
• Check ingredients and inform the senior chef about shortages or damaged items.
• Assist with proper storage, labelling and stock rotation.
• Minimize food wastage and maintain portion control.
• Follow all kitchen SOPs and instructions from senior chefs.
• Work as part of the kitchen team and support other sections when required.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualification: 10th / 12th / Hotel Management / Culinary Course preferred.
• Freshers with basic culinary knowledge can apply.
• Previous experience in cinema, hotel, restaurant, QSR or food court will be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene.
• Good teamwork and willingness to learn.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen.

Working Conditions

• Shift: Day / Night – Rotational Shift
• Willing to work on Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays.
• Flexible according to cinema show timings.
• Immediate joiners preferred.
• Weekly off as per company schedule.
