JOB DESCRIPTION – JUNIOR CHEMIST (INSTRUMENTATION)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Chemist for our Instrumentation Department to perform chemical analysis of samples using laboratory instruments, maintain accurate test records, and ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform chemical analysis of food, water, environmental, and other FMCG-related samples using laboratory instruments.
• Assist in operating, calibrating, and maintaining instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, and other analytical equipment, as applicable.
• Prepare samples, standards, reagents, and solutions for testing.
• Follow approved test methods, SOPs, and laboratory safety procedures.
• Record test results accurately and maintain laboratory documentation.
• Ensure proper instrument maintenance, calibration records, and logbook updates.
• Support quality control activities and comply with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
• Report abnormal results, instrument issues, and deviations to the reporting manager.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and good laboratory practices in the instrumentation section.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry and laboratory instrumentation.
• Knowledge of sample preparation and chemical analysis techniques.
• Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
• Willingness to learn new analytical techniques and laboratory procedures.

Lab Manager

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
