Junior Cloud Engineer (Cloud Implementation)

About the role

We're looking for a Junior Cloud Engineer to help design, build, and maintain applications and services delivered through Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) models. You'll work closely with senior engineers to develop cloud-native solutions, automate deployments, and support the scalability and reliability of our cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy applications on cloud platforms .
• Build and maintain features for SaaS products, ensuring multi-tenancy, scalability, and security
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for cloud security and compliance
• Work with PaaS offerings (e.g., AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Huawei, Azure App Service, Heroku, Google App Engine) to deploy and manage applications
• Write clean, maintainable code in languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Go
• Assist in setting up CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues in cloud environments
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to manage containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Support integration with third-party APIs and cloud services
• Document technical processes and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Huawei or GCP)
• Programming experience in one or more languages: Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, or Go
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
• Basic knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
