Junior Cloud Engineer

Location: Italy - Remote

Salary: 35,000 to 40,000 EUR per year

Position Overview:

The primary responsibilities of the Junior Cloud Engineer will be supporting our Miles 33 s.r.l. customers based in Italy, including installing software, troubleshooting operating system issues, troubleshooting server and network issues as needed.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Manage and Perform tasks in Amazon Cloud, server maintenance, server setup and configurations, other Amazon technologies as required.

• Perform and support client installs for Naviga's and specific third party software applications.

• Initiate and maintain technical documentation used for staging and supporting client systems.

• Create user documentation and training materials related to Linux system administration, Amazon Tools, other 3rd party software and tools as needed.

• Identify, evaluate, and recommend new technologies to meet client needs.

• Evaluate existing client systems and recommend future improvements.

• Create and maintain Virtual application and database servers in the Naviga's cloud

• Deploy hot fixes to customer systems on premises and in the Cloud

• Support the efforts of Application Support, Development and QA

Provide necessary assistance, guidance, and training to other Naviga's employees

Education, Experience, and Requirements-

• Work with minimal supervision and guidance

• Work required hours, meet company standards for core hours availability, and communicate with manager when variations are needed

• Manage multiple and conflicting priorities with minimal direction

• Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Be willing and able to work flexible hours

• Linux experience essential

• Intermediate Windows administration skills.

• Intermediate Mysql skills a plus.

• Intermediate Tomcat skills a plus.

• Fluent Italian speaker

• Fluent English speaker

Physical / Mental Demands & Work Environment:

• Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods while working at a computer, and communicate effectively via phone and video conferencing, with or without reasonable accommodation.
