We are looking for a Junior Coffee Machine Technician to join our service team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has a practical approach to problem solving and is looking to develop a career in coffee machine servicing and technical support.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role where you will learn to service, maintain, diagnose and repair commercial coffee machines and related equipment.

Working alongside experienced technicians, you will receive practical training and develop your technical skills across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and coffee-machine systems.

You will spend time both in the workshop and attending customer sites, gaining experience across preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, installations and equipment servicing.

This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically minded, enjoys troubleshooting and wants to build a long-term career as a coffee machine technician.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Service & Repairs

• Assist with the servicing and repair of commercial coffee machines and related equipment.
• Learn to diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and technical faults.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
• Assist experienced technicians with breakdown repairs and more complex technical issues.
• Learn to safely use hand tools, test equipment and workshop equipment.
• Carry out testing and quality checks on completed repairs.
• Assist with equipment installations and commissioning when required.
• Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.
• Keep the workshop, tools and equipment clean, safe and organised.

Training & Development

• Work alongside experienced technicians to develop your technical skills.
• Learn coffee machine components, systems and operating principles.
• Develop fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Complete manufacturer and internal technical training as required.
• Progress towards independently completing service and repair work.
• Build knowledge across a range of commercial coffee machine brands and models.

Customer Service

• Attend customer sites with experienced technicians and assist with service requirements.
• Communicate professionally with customers and hospitality staff.
• Develop an understanding of customer service and on-site service expectations.
• Ensure work areas are left clean and professional after completing service work.

Parts & Workshop

• Assist with identifying and locating spare parts required for repairs.
• Maintain organised parts and equipment storage.
• Assist with receiving and organising service parts.
• Keep tools and workshop equipment maintained and ready for use.
• Ensure service jobs are properly organised and documented.

About You

You don't need to be an experienced coffee machine technician. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, practical ability and willingness to learn.

You will ideally have:

• A strong interest in mechanical, electrical or technical work.
• A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• An interest in learning how equipment works and how to diagnose faults.
• The ability to use basic hand tools, or a willingness to learn.
• Good attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• The ability to work independently once trained, while also working effectively as part of a team.
• A reliable and positive attitude.
• A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
• A commitment to workplace safety and maintaining an organised work environment.

Previous experience in servicing coffee machines, electrical, mechanical, appliance repair, automotive, refrigeration, plumbing, hospitality equipment or a similar technical field will be highly regarded.

A current driver's licence is required.
