Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Control-M Engineer with hands-on experience in job scheduling, batch monitoring, and production support. The ideal candidate should have experience working with Control-M scheduling tools, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring smooth execution of batch processes in a 24x7 support environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage batch jobs using Control-M to ensure successful and timely execution.
• Perform job scheduling activities including rerun, hold, free, and dependency management.
• Troubleshoot job failures, scheduling conflicts, and batch processing issues.
• Provide L2 production support and ensure adherence to defined SLAs.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures for recurring incidents.
• Coordinate with application, database, and infrastructure teams for issue resolution.
• Participate in deployment activities and batch validation processes.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Manage incidents, problems, and change requests using ServiceNow/JIRA.
• Support operational excellence and continuous process improvements.

Mandatory Skills

• Hands-on experience with Control-M Job Scheduling

• Experience in Production Support / Application Support environments

• Good knowledge of Unix/Linux

• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge for data validation and troubleshooting

• Understanding of ITIL processes

• Experience with Incident, Problem, and Change Management

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Control-M Job Creation
• Exposure to Control-M modules such as AFT, MFT, or SAP
• Basic Shell Scripting knowledge
• Experience in Banking/BFSI domain
• Knowledge of scheduling dependencies and workflow management
