Junior Credit Controller

About the role

Our client is seeking a Junior Credit Controller to join their dynamic team on a full-time basis in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to establish a career in credit management within the banking and financial services sector. The Junior Credit Controller will play a vital role in supporting our credit operations by managing credit activities, monitoring accounts, and ensuring compliance with credit policies and procedures. This position offers exposure to various aspects of credit management whilst working alongside experienced professionals who will mentor your development in this field.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage customer credit accounts, ensuring timely payment collection and follow-up on overdue accounts
• Prepare and maintain accurate credit documentation, including credit files and supporting records
• Conduct preliminary credit analysis on new customer applications and provide supporting documentation to senior credit staff
• Liaise with customers regarding credit terms, payment arrangements and account queries
• Assist in the preparation of credit reports and credit limit reviews under supervision
• Process credit applications and maintain relevant databases and systems
• Support the development and implementation of credit control procedures and policies
• Perform reconciliations of credit accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Assist with regulatory compliance and credit audit requirements
• Provide administrative support to the credit management team as required

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and credit management systems
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders
• Understanding of credit principles, lending practices and financial analysis
• Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements is advantageous
• Ability to work independently whilst being a team player in a collaborative environment
• Professional demeanor with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
• Prior experience in credit operations, credit analysis or a similar financial services role is preferred but not essential for the right candidate
