Junior Database Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Junior Database Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in MongoDB and SQL/MySQL database management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database design, optimization, security, backup management, and backend database integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and optimize MongoDB collections and SQL/MySQL databases.
• Write efficient SQL queries and perform MongoDB CRUD operations.
• Implement indexing and query optimization to improve database performance.
• Ensure data integrity, security, access control, and validation.
• Integrate databases with backend applications using Node.js and Express.js.
• Manage database backups, restoration, migration, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with developers using Git/GitHub for version control.
• Support deployment and CI/CD activities as needed.

Required Skills

• 1–3 years of experience in database administration or development.
• Strong knowledge of MongoDB, including schema design, indexing, aggregation pipelines, and CRUD operations.
• Good understanding of SQL/MySQL, joins, normalization, relationships, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with database transactions, security, backup, and recovery processes.
• Basic knowledge of Node.js, Express.js, and REST API integration.
• Experience with Git/GitHub, commits, branching, and pull requests.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MongoDB Atlas or cloud-hosted databases.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or DigitalOcean environments.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions and CI/CD workflows.
• Basic knowledge of Docker, Redis, and database monitoring tools.
• Understanding of deployment environments and configuration management.
