Junior Design Engineer

About the role

MHI Power Technical Services Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated Junior Design Engineer to join our dynamic mechanical engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. As a Junior Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design and development of mechanical systems and components, contributing to innovative solutions that drive our business forward. Key responsibilities

• Perform GT Combustion Tuning activities primarily for New Construction Projects, with secondary support for After Service Projects.
• Prepare and review internal and customer reports related to combustion tuning activities.
• Handle necessary technical and project documentation before and after dispatch assignments.
• Coordinate and complete required preparations to ensure smooth and effective dispatch activities.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.

• Experience or knowledge in Gas Turbine (GT) systems, combustion, or power plant operations is an advantage.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and identify issues.

• Willingness to perform field/dispatch assignments, including domestic and overseas travel as required.

• Good technical writing skills and ability to prepare internal and customer reports.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.

• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and customers.

• Must be willing to undergo the hiring process and work on-site in Mandaluyong
