Junior Developer (Python)

Webbuggs is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Python Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Python programming, a willingness to learn, and an interest in building reliable software solutions while working alongside experienced developers.

This role is suitable for fresh graduates and candidates with some practical experience who want to strengthen their Python development skills in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clean, readable, and maintainable Python code.
• Assist in developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining Python-based applications.
• Work with senior developers to implement new features and resolve technical issues.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs as required.
• Work with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Understand existing codebases and contribute to ongoing development projects.
• Identify bugs, troubleshoot issues, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Follow coding standards, version control practices, and development guidelines.
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions.
• Document code and technical processes when required.
• Learn and apply new tools, libraries, and technologies relevant to assigned projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python programming.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
• Familiarity with data structures, functions, modules, and exception handling.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database operations.
• Understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Basic experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of API integration and JSON data handling.
• Basic understanding of software testing and debugging.
• Familiarity with Linux commands or command-line tools.
