Build Modern Software Solutions as a Junior Developer! DeNOVO Solutions is seeking a Junior Developer with strong knowledge of and experience in geolocation principles and practices. In this role, you will support the development of mission-focused software applications while collaborating with team members in a shared development environment. You will apply your geolocation knowledge while gaining additional experience with modern programming languages, microservices, containerization, software testing, and related development technologies.

A Day in the Life

• Develop and maintain software applications that apply geolocation principles and support mission requirements.
• Collaborate with team members using Git-based workflows, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
• Assist with software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and improving application reliability.
• Contribute to software solutions involving microservices and containerized environments.
• Work collaboratively with developers and other team members to support customer requirements.

What You Bring To The Table

• Strong knowledge of and experience with geolocation principles and practices.
• Customer domain knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of Git version control, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
• Experience working in collaborative team environments.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture concepts.
• Basic understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Knowledge of software testing principles and practices.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Go or another modern programming language.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Exposure to Angular or another modern frontend framework.
• Experience with Kubernetes or another container orchestration platform.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab workflows.
• Knowledge of Helm charts or infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience with API gateways such as Traefik or a similar technology.
• Exposure to distributed systems concepts.
• Familiarity with VS Code or another modern development environment.

What You Need Experience: One (1) to Two (2) years of professional software development experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM discipline.

Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 (Commensurate with experience)
