Location: Johannesburg, Woodlands

Reports to: E-Commerce Manager

Role purpose

Support the growth and day-to-day performance of LDB’s e-commerce business across retailer and brand platforms. The role helps deliver strong digital shelf execution, engaging product content, effective online campaigns, and accurate performance reporting—while ensuring that communications are consistent with brand standards and approved product claims.

Key responsibilities

E-commerce trading and performance

  • Support the execution of e-commerce plans across relevant retail partners and brand.com channels.
  • Monitor sales, traffic, conversion, availability, and promotional performance; prepare regular reports and highlight opportunities or issues.
  • Assist with product launches, online promotions, trading calendars, and commercial presentations.
  • Track product availability, assortment, pricing and online visibility, escalating discrepancies to relevant teams.
  • Contribute to forecasts and post-campaign evaluations using available sales and digital performance data.

Digital shelf and content

  • Coordinate the creation, review, and publication of product pages, including descriptions, images, videos, FAQs, and other approved assets.
  • Check product information for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance with approved claims and local requirements.
  • Monitor search visibility, ratings and reviews, and content quality; identify improvements to product discoverability and shopper experience.
  • Work with brand, medical, regulatory, legal, and e-commerce teams to route content for the appropriate review and approval.

Campaigns and activation

  • Support the planning and implementation of retailer media and on-site activations, in coordination with internal teams and external partners.
  • Help manage campaign briefs, assets, timelines, budgets, and campaign tracking.
  • Coordinate with agencies and retailer contacts on operational requirements and delivery.
  • Summarize campaign outcomes and recommendations for future activity.

Collaboration and operations

  • Build effective working relationships with Brand, Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, agencies, and e-commerce partners.
  • Maintain campaign calendars, trackers, product data, and other operational documentation.
  • Support process improvements that improve execution quality, speed, and consistency.
  • Raise risks, delays, data issues, or customer-impacting concerns promptly.

Success measures

Measures may vary by market and channel; examples include:

  • Accuracy and timeliness of product content and campaign execution.
  • Online assortment, availability, and digital shelf quality.
  • E-commerce sales and campaign performance against agreed objectives.
  • Improvement in product-page traffic, conversion, and search visibility.
  • Quality and usefulness of reporting and recommendations.
  • Effective collaboration and reliable delivery against timelines.

Experience and qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Digital, E-Commerce, or a related field.
  • Initial experience through an internship, placement, or junior role in e-commerce, digital marketing, sales, or analytics is an advantage.
  • Interest in e-commerce and digital shopper behavior; beauty, skincare, or healthcare experience is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint; experience with analytics, retailer platforms, content-management tools, or digital advertising platforms is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Skills and capabilities

  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Clear communication and collaborative working style.
  • Curiosity about digital trends and a willingness to learn.
  • Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.
  • Sound judgment about when to escalate questions or seek review.

Working relationships

Internal: E-Commerce, Brand, Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, and IT teams.

External: Retailer e-commerce teams, agencies, platform partners, and other approved suppliers.

Important role boundary

The role supports content and campaign execution but does not independently approve medical, regulatory, legal, or product-efficacy claims. Those must follow the applicable local review and approval process.
