Junior Editor

The Junior Editor is a versatile content creator, editor, and digital storyteller responsible for executing end-to-end video, graphic design, and AI-driven content for SOVA Entertainment. Positioned as a “Jack of all trades, master of several,” this role transforms raw livestream footage into high-performing short-form and long-form content, develops standalone AI series, and crafts captivating visual assets that drive audience retention across digital platforms.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional creative taste, strong bilingual English and Tagalog writing skills, and technical proficiency across major editing software and generative AI workflows. Operating in a fast-paced environment, the Junior Editor bridges the gap between raw concept and finished output without needing constant translation or supervision.

Key Responsibilities

1. AI Content Development & Generation Concept, write, generate, edit, and publish original AI-driven content series from the ground up. Operate and integrate generative AI video and image tools—including Kling, Runway, Veo, Hailuo, and Midjourney—into daily content production workflows. Refine AI-generated outputs to maintain visual quality control, identify artifacts or errors such as anatomical and temporal glitches, and ensure brand consistency.

2. Livestream Content Mining & Video Editing Review, mine, and edit long-form livestream recordings to identify high-engagement segments, highlights, and viral moments. Produce finished short-form and long-form video cuts with pacing, sound design, titles, and bilingual English and Tagalog subtitles or captions. Maintain visual brand continuity across multi-episode series and content playlists.

3. Graphic & Motion Design Design dynamic visual assets for livestreams, including overlays, lower thirds, open and close plates, thumbnails, and promotional artwork. Develop social media graphics, story layouts, pitch decks, cover art, and brand collateral while responding effectively to design feedback and revisions. Craft engaging, high-converting video thumbnails optimized to capture and retain digital audiences within seconds.

4. Copywriting & Localization Write concise, compelling titles, social media copy, captions, and scripts tailored to English- and Tagalog-speaking audiences. Ensure localized tone, humor, and cultural context resonate with the target audience without relying on external translators.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Software & Technical Proficiency

• Video Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and CapCut. Graphic & Motion Design: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe After Effects. AI Toolsets: Kling, Runway, Veo, Hailuo, Midjourney, or equivalent generative platforms. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency across all listed platforms.

Core Competencies & Qualities

• Creative Taste & Discernment: Strong visual judgment with the ability to evaluate design and edit variations, articulate creative choices, and defend quality standards. Bilingual Capability: Working-level fluency in written English and Tagalog for captioning, scriptwriting, and titling. Content Discovery: Ability to review one- to two-hour or longer video footage and efficiently isolate high-value clips. Trend Awareness: Active understanding of digital media trends, viral formats, and audience culture in the Philippines. Adaptability & Resilience: Able to handle shifting briefs, tight deadlines, and technical troubleshooting calmly and professionally.

Experience & Eligibility

• Experience Level: Junior-level role requiring 0–2 years of experience; open to self-taught editors and fresh talent with strong portfolio proof. Education: No specific degree required; selection is heavily weighted toward portfolio output, creative taste, and technical capability. Portfolio: Must showcase complete video edits and graphic design assets executed independently from start to finish.

• Output & Turnaround: Consistency and speed in delivering finished video clips, AI episodes, and graphics according to schedule. Visual & Content Quality: Adherence to brand aesthetics, clean grammar, visual polish, and strong retention-focused thumbnails and openers. AI Tool Integration: Efficient prompt-to-output ratios and effective use of company-provided AI tool subscriptions. Audience Engagement: Performance of mined clips and series based on views, completion rates, and shares.

Pay: Php28,000.00 - Php35,000.00 per month
