Junior Electrical & Machine Maintenance Technician

The Junior Electrical & Machine Maintenance Technician supports the inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery, electrical systems, and facility equipment. The role focuses on industrial electrical maintenance, preventive maintenance planning, facility upkeep, and spare parts management to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and minimal production downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of production machines, motors, sensors, control panels, and other electrical components.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, utilities, and facility systems.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring preventive maintenance schedules and maintaining equipment maintenance records.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential equipment failures, electrical issues, and facility maintenance requirements.
• Support facility maintenance, including electrical installations, lighting, utilities, and general building upkeep.
• Monitor critical spare parts inventory, maintain stock records, identify replenishment needs, and coordinate with warehouse and purchasing.
• Assist in identifying critical spare parts and establishing minimum stock levels to prevent maintenance delays.
• Document machine breakdowns, repairs, preventive maintenance activities, and spare parts usage.
• Follow established safety procedures, including proper electrical isolation and lockout/tagout (LOTO).
• Perform other related maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Electrical Technology, Industrial Electricity, Electromechanical Technology, or a related technical/vocational course.
• Background in industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Preferably with at least one year of experience in machine maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, or facility maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring, motors, sensors, relays, contactors, and control panels.
• Familiarity with electrical testing instruments, preventive maintenance planning, and spare parts inventory management.
• Knowledge of PLCs and automated production equipment is an advantage.
• Willing to work on a shifting schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required to support production operations and equipment breakdowns.
• Willing to work in a manufacturing environment and respond to urgent maintenance requirements as needed.
