Junior Electrical CAD Draftsman (MEP)

We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable, and technically skilled Junior Electrical CAD Engineer to support our Design Department on new MEP projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and updating electrical drawings and supporting the design team with project documentation.

Candidates with previous experience in UAE projects are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical layouts and drawings in AutoCAD as per project requirements.
• Prepare and update shop drawings and as-built drawings for electrical systems.
• Develop drawings for lighting, power, small power, low current, and containment systems.
• Incorporate comments from the consultant and design team and update drawings accordingly.
• Coordinate drawings with other MEP services to avoid clashes.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and project files.
• Support the design team with quantity take-offs and documentation as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in electrical CAD drafting or a similar role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit knowledge is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and UAE authority drawing standards.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
