Junior Electrical Engineer

About the role

The Junior Electrical Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of electrical engineering projects under the direct supervision of the Senior Engineer. The role provides technical and operational support throughout the project lifecycle, including site activities, inspections, documentation, coordination, and other project-related tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Main Responsibilities: Electrical services related projects

• Capable of managing projects with minimal supervision

• Capable of performing project planning, setting project timeline and executing without delay

• Assist in reviewing electrical plans, drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.

• Attend meetings and manage coordination with clients pertaining to project progress

• Track the progress and quality of work being performed by the team

• Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the Operations Head and Engineering Supervisor.

• Keep the Operations Head and Engineering Supervisor informed about the project status and issues that may impact timelines and budget

• Track and manage change notices and change orders (if any)

• Periodic site inspection to check status if progressing to approved plans and specification

• Lead in resolving issues or delays to meet project timeline

• Assess specific project improvement, recommendations and ensure compliance to minimum code requirements

• Secondary / Support Role when needed: other tasks assigned by the engineering supervisor requiring his expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer.

• At least one (1) year of work experience in the Preventive Maintenance field.

• Experience in electrical projects within commercial and industrial industries is an advantage but not required.

• In-depth understanding of electrical codes and standards, material specification, installation methodologies, testing and commissioning.

• Knowledgeable in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• A team player with leadership skills.

• Good in written and oral communication skills.
