Junior Electrical Engineer

Salary - $70-100k/year

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the design of electrical power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems .
• Perform engineering calculations, load calculations, and technical analyses under the supervision of licensed engineers.
• Prepare electrical drawings, panel schedules, plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Use AutoCAD and Revit to develop and update electrical design documents.
• Research and apply applicable electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC) .
• Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural teams.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs) during construction.
• Participate in site visits, field investigations, and construction observations.
• Assist with project scheduling, cost estimates, quality control, and documentation.
• Communicate project updates and collaborate with project managers, senior engineers, clients, and contractors.
• Participate in training and professional development while working toward a Texas P.E. license.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required, or ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and building systems design principles.
• Basic familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit .
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
