This hands-on, field-based position offers opportunities to gain practical experience in specialized construction equipment, site preparation, quality control, and project coordination. The candidate will work closely with experienced Superintendents, Project Managers, and field crews, progressively developing the skills required to independently operate UV curing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- CIPP Equipment Operation & Troubleshooting: Learn to operate, monitor, and maintain UV-CIPP curing equipment, including computerized control systems and UV light trains. Monitor curing parameters, assist with technical troubleshooting, and perform routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Site Assessment & Work Preparation: Participate in preconstruction site visits to evaluate site conditions, access requirements, and installation needs. Assist with planning and coordinating bypass pumping, traffic control, pipe cleaning, equipment staging, utility coordination, and other site preparations.
- Project Coordination & Field Operations: Work closely with clients, inspectors, Superintendents, Project Managers, and field crews to plan CIPP installations, coordinate labor, materials, and equipment, resolve field challenges, and maintain production schedules.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain curing logs, installation records, daily construction reports, production quantities, expense receipts, and quality control documentation. Track, verify, and report daily labor hours and employee time records, material usage, and equipment utilization to support payroll processing, job costing, and project reporting.
- Construction Equipment Operation: Gain hands-on experience operating construction equipment, including skid steers, winches, telehandlers (Lull), and other specialized field equipment. Assist with equipment setup and material handling under appropriate training and supervision.
- Quality Control & Technical Support: Review construction drawings, specifications, and approved installation procedures. Verify field measurements, monitor installation quality, coordinate inspections, and assist in identifying and resolving technical issues.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Follow OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and project-specific safety requirements, including confined space entry, electrical safety, traffic control, and equipment operation. Participate in safety meetings, identify potential hazards, and promote safe working practices.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications
- Education: Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field. Equivalent relevant technical experience may be considered. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

- Equipment Operation: Willingness to learn and gain practical experience operating skid steers, winches, telehandlers (Lull), and other specialized field equipment.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications

- Previous construction experience or internships involving underground utilities, CIPP, trenchless rehabilitation, or heavy civil construction.
- Familiarity with mechanical equipment, industrial machinery, or computerized control systems.
