Junior Engineer (Level 2) — Advanced Infra & Systems Support

About the Role
Resolve complex incidents escalated from Level 1 through deeper technical diagnostics across endpoint, identity, network, and server foundations. Coordinate with vendors, execute approved changes, and produce clear RCA/technical handovers. Best suited for hybrid IT environments with recurring hard tickets.

What You'll Do

• Own escalated L1 tickets; perform deeper diagnostics across systems/infrastructure
• Administer core Windows Server services: file/print, DNS, DHCP, directory fundamentals
• Support Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace admin tasks, including identity issues
• Perform firewall/VPN configuration (routing, NAT, rules) under approved change control
• Execute server patching, optimization, maintenance within change windows
• Triage EDR/security alerts; support security hygiene checks
• Support virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V): VMs, snapshots, basic troubleshooting
• Perform backup/restore operations and validate recovery outcomes
• Produce RCA notes and technical documentation; coordinate with vendors/app teams

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 3–6 years in desktop/infrastructure support with admin exposure
• Experience in hybrid (on-prem + cloud) environments preferred
• Windows Server fundamentals; Active Directory/Azure AD basics; Group Policy basics
• Network diagnostics; VPN concepts; basic firewall rule understanding
• Security hygiene: EDR checks, phishing triage, log-aware troubleshooting
• Backup/restore processes; change control discipline
• Basic scripting (PowerShell or Bash)

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), CompTIA Network+/Security+, ITIL Foundation
