Junior Estimation Engineer

Job Brief:

We are looking for a Junior Estimation Engineer to support the preparation of commercial and technical estimates for new Facility Management projects, covering both Hard Services and Soft Services.

The role will involve reviewing tender documents, understanding project requirements, calculating manpower, materials, equipment and other operational costs, and preparing competitive and accurate project pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review tender documents, scope of work, specifications and client requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates for Hard Services and Soft Services.
• Calculate manpower, materials, equipment, consumables and subcontractor/service costs.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare pricing sheets, BOQs and commercial comparisons.
• Identify missing information, assumptions, exclusions and potential cost risks.
• Support the preparation of tender submissions and commercial proposals.
• Coordinate with Operations, Procurement and other departments to validate costs and requirements.
• Research market prices and identify cost-effective solutions.
• Maintain estimation records and update pricing databases.
• Support management with pricing analysis and recommendations.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction, Facility Management or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant estimation, costing or tendering experience; Facility Management experience is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of MEP and Soft Services operations.
• Good knowledge of manpower, material and operational cost calculations.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with pricing spreadsheets.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and understand tender documents, scopes and specifications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Commercially minded with an interest in competitive pricing and cost optimization.
• Willingness to learn and use digital estimation, procurement and other technology solutions.
• Qatar/GCC experience is an advantage.

Key Objective:

Prepare accurate, competitive and commercially viable estimates that enable the company to submit well-priced tenders while maintaining realistic operational costs and protecting project profitability.

Pay: QAR2,000.00 - QAR2,500.00 per month
