About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Export Manager with a strong technical background and proven expertise in international business development. The candidate will be responsible for expanding overseas markets, acquiring new customers, managing key accounts, and driving export sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new international customers across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with overseas clients.
• Generate business leads through LinkedIn, export databases, exhibitions, and direct outreach.
• Handle international customer meetings, plant visits, and trade exhibitions.
• Manage the complete sales cycle, from enquiry generation and quotation to negotiation and order closure.
• Understand technical drawings, product specifications, and engineering requirements.
• Prepare and review technical-commercial quotations and export tenders.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions.
• Coordinate with internal teams for production, quality, dispatch, logistics, and order execution.
• Oversee export documentation, shipment tracking, and payment follow-ups.
• Maintain sales pipelines, export MIS, and business development reports.
• Travel internationally for customer acquisition and business expansion.

Candidate Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• 5–10 years of experience in Export / International Business within engineering, manufacturing, or capital goods.
• Strong technical knowledge of engineering products, drawings, specifications, and applications.
• Proven track record in international customer acquisition and order conversion.
• Prior experience visiting overseas customers or attending international exhibitions.
• Good knowledge of export documentation, international logistics, and Incoterms.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-management skills.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally.

Preferred Industry Experience

Experience in Cement, Mining, Power, Steel, Wear Parts, or Bulk Material Handling will be preferred.

Experience in handling industrial/MNC clients, export tenders, and international sales tools such as Volza or LinkedIn Sales Navigator will be an advantage.

Ideal Candidate

A technically sound Mechanical Engineer with strong international sales experience who can independently develop overseas customers, understand technical requirements, negotiate commercial deals, and drive export business growth.
