Junior Field Service Engineer- AOI

About the role

Provide field service and technical support for AOI equipment installed at customer sites, including equipment installation, setup, testing, and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Support equipment installation, setup, testing, and commissioning
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine equipment servicing
• Troubleshoot equipment alarms, hardware faults, software issues, and basic vision-related problems
• Support machine recovery and minimise equipment downtime
• Support calibration, alignment, and basic system verification activities
• Assist senior engineers in complex troubleshooting and equipment upgrades
• Communicate with equipment principals or overseas technical teams when further support is required
• Prepare service reports and maintain proper records of maintenance and troubleshooting activities
• Support customer requests and follow up on outstanding technical issues
• Maintain good working relationships with customer engineering and production teams

About you

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline

• At least 1 year experience in semiconductor equipment, automation, machine vision, and troubleshooting

• Basic understanding of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and automation systems

• Able to read basic electrical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving attitude

• Able to work independently after training

• Good communication skills in English

• Willing to travel within Malaysia and occasionally overseas for training or project support

• Willing to support customers in both Penang and Kulim
