Survey and Machine Control Team | Training Provided

Enjoy working outdoors, using technology, and learning how construction projects come together? We are looking for a reliable person to join our survey and machine control team in an entry-level role. No previous surveying or machine control experience is required. We will provide training.

You will learn to use GPS survey equipment to measure job sites and mark where construction work needs to go. You will also help support GPS guidance systems on heavy equipment, with a mix of field work and computer-based office tasks.

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage, based on attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.

What You Will Do

• Assist with site measurements, construction layout, and GPS equipment setup.
• Help set up and support machine control systems under the direction of the team.
• Learn to process field data, work with GPS files, and assist with basic drafting.
• Help maintain equipment and troubleshoot problems as your skills develop.
• Work with supervisors and equipment operators; complete timesheets, billable time records, fuel reports, and other daily reports.

What We Are Looking For

• Reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and take direction.
• Comfort using computers and learning new software and equipment.
• An interest in construction, heavy equipment, or practical technology.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• A valid driver’s licence. Construction or equipment operating experience is an asset, but is not required.

Hours and Travel

Hours vary with workload and project assignments. Some periods involve regular office hours; busy periods may involve longer workdays. Travel to project sites and overnight stays in company housing, work camps, or hotels may be required. Length of stay depends on the project.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
