Junior Finance Executive

The Junior Finance Executive supports the finance team in managing daily financial operations, including processing invoices, maintaining financial records, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, and preparing basic financial reports. This role ensures accurate documentation, supports month-end closing activities, and helps maintain compliance with company financial policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations

• Handle full set of accounts including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting
• Manage billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition for software/services Compliance & Statutory
• Ensure compliance with Malaysia statutory requirements (LHDN, SST, EPF, SOCSO, EIS)
• Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries
• Prepare schedules for year-end audit and tax submission
• Ensure proper documentation and internal controls are in place

IT / System Related

• Manage and improve finance systems / ERP / accounting software
• Work closely with IT & Ops teams on system enhancements, automation, and integrations
• Ensure financial data integrity across systems
• Support UAT for finance-related system changes

Business & Management Support

• Provide financial analysis to support management decision-making
• Review costs, margins, and operational efficiency
• Assist in policy improvement and process optimisation
• Support management in ad-hoc finance projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant working experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and Malaysia compliance
• Experience in IT / software / technology company is an added advantage
• Proficient in Excel and accounting systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Able to work independently and handle tight deadlines
