We are looking for a Junior Firewall Network Security Engineer

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the operational maintenance and monitoring of network security infrastructures, with a strong focus on service quality, security and performance.
• Diagnose and resolve security infrastructure incidents, malfunctions and traffic flow issues in a production environment.
• Implement, maintain and optimize security policies and firewall rules according to security standards and business requirements.
• Manage and implement firewall security rules, particularly on technologies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet and NSX-T / VCF9.
• Work on network micro-segmentation and traditional firewall rule implementation.
• Define and maintain best practices for security policy management and propose improvements to enhance security, performance and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to security projects by providing technical expertise and advising on the implementation of security solutions.
• Collaborate with experts from other IT and security domains to investigate issues and implement solutions.
• Ensure compliance with IT security, quality and operational standards.
• Manage operational processes including requests, incidents, changes and technical documentation.
• Provide technical support, advice, training and security awareness to relevant teams and stakeholders.

PROFILE & SKILLS

• Experience in Network Security / Firewall Engineering in an IT production environment.
• Strong knowledge of firewall security policies and rule implementation.
• Experience with Palo Alto and/or Fortinet.
• Knowledge of network segmentation / micro-segmentation, particularly NSX-T / VCF9.
• Experience managing incidents, requests, changes and documentation in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of IT security standards and best practices.
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose complex network/security issues.
• Ability to work with multiple technical teams and security experts.
• Proactive mindset, with an interest in improving security, performance and operational efficiency.
• Fluency in English
