Junior FPGA Engineer

A specialist engineering consultancy in the Cambridge area is growing its team and wants an FPGA Engineer with a few years’ experience.

The role

• Design and verify FPGA firmware for high-performance signal processing in radar, EW and RF systems.
• Implement DSP functions on FPGA and help integrate them with RF hardware and software.
• Get involved across the full lifecycle, from requirements and design through to lab bring-up and test.

What you’ll bring

• A good degree in electronic engineering or similar, and some industry experience. This isn’t a graduate role.
• Hands-on VHDL or Verilog, ideally on AMD/Xilinx devices.
• An interest in DSP. MATLAB experience is helpful.
• Lab debugging skills.
• Eligibility for UK SC/UKEO clearance.
• Defence, radar or consultancy experience is a bonus.
