Junior Frontend Developer

Location: Europe/Remote

Our client is an international beauty and wellness company headquartered in Zurich, with a team of 200+ professionals across Europe. The company operates across multiple European markets and is building a modern, scalable commerce ecosystem supporting customers and distributors in different countries, languages, currencies, and VAT regimes.

We are looking for a Junior Frontend Developer to join the development team and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the company’s e-commerce storefront and digital platform.

This is a frontend-focused role where you will work with Liquid templates, HTML/CSS, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript, building storefront components, supporting localization across eight languages, and developing smaller API-backed features. You will work under the guidance and review of a Senior Developer and grow within the role.

The team actively uses AI-assisted development tools for implementation, understanding unfamiliar codebases, writing tests, and performing data checks. At the same time, developers are expected to understand, explain, and take ownership of the code they deliver.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain frontend components for the company’s e-commerce storefront;
• Work with Liquid templates and frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript;
• Develop storefront components and smaller API-backed features under the guidance and review of a Senior Developer;
• Support localization and frontend functionality across 8 languages and multiple European markets;
• Work with existing commerce APIs and gradually develop an understanding of the platform’s data model;
• Use basic SQL and gradually learn the Exigo data model.
• Collaborate with senior developers and other team members within an established sprint cadence;
• Use AI development tools effectively for implementation, codebase exploration, testing, and data checks while maintaining full understanding and ownership of delivered solutions;

Requirements:

• 2+ years of commercial experience in frontend development;
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
• Experience with Liquid templating or similar template engines such as Shopify Liquid, Handlebars, or Twig;
• Experience with Tailwind CSS or willingness to work with it;
• Basic knowledge of SQL and willingness to learn a new data model;
• Basic understanding of working with APIs and integrating frontend functionality with backend services;
• Ability to understand existing code, troubleshoot issues, and explain technical decisions;
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools or strong interest in incorporating them into everyday development workflows;
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn;
• Upper-Intermediate level of English or higher;
• Ability to work effectively in a remote international team.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms;
• Experience with Exigo or similar commerce/distributor platforms;
• Understanding of subscription-based commerce, promotions, loyalty or point-based systems;
• Experience working with multi-language or multi-country web platforms;
• Understanding of MLM/direct selling business models.
