About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Full Stack Software Engineer with strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals, hands-on Node.js backend development experience, and practical knowledge of React.js and Next.js.

The ideal candidate has 6–18 months of professional software development experience and a solid understanding of REST APIs, relational databases, authentication, backend business logic, and modern web application development.

This is a hands-on engineering role involving both frontend and backend development, with a stronger emphasis on backend functionality, database operations, API integrations, and implementing production-ready features.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using TypeScript, Node.js, React.js, and Next.js.
• Build and maintain backend services, RESTful APIs, and business logic using Express.js, or similar frameworks.
• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including schema design, relationships, migrations, queries, and ORM operations.
• Implement authentication, authorization, role-based access control (RBAC), and session management.
• Develop responsive, reusable, and performant frontend interfaces using React.js and Next.js.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, webhooks, and external services.
• Implement input validation, error handling, logging, and asynchronous workflows.
• Handle database transactions, API failures, retries, and data consistency in backend applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and strongly typed TypeScript code.
• Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex for implementation, debugging, testing, and refactoring.
• Review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability.
• Write unit and integration tests for application functionality.
• Debug frontend and backend issues, investigate application errors, and troubleshoot problems using logs and debugging tools.
• Work with existing codebases, understand application architecture, and implement new functionality following established engineering patterns.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and collaborative development.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology.
• 6–18 months of professional software development experience. Candidates with more than 18 months of experience will not be considered.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including asynchronous programming, promises, and modern ES6+ features.
• Hands-on backend development experience using Node.js with Express.js or similar frameworks.
• Practical experience building frontend applications using React.js and Next.js.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, authentication, authorization, and backend business logic.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or another relational database.
• Familiarity with ORMs such as Prisma, Drizzle, TypeORM, or similar tools.
• Understanding of database schemas, relationships, queries, and transactions.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and handling asynchronous operations.
• Understanding of input validation, error handling, and secure API development.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants, with the ability to understand, review, and debug generated code.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs90,000.00 - Rs120,000.00 per month
