Junior Geotechnical Engineer

Job Summary

The Junior Geotechnical Engineer assists in conducting geotechnical investigations, soil assessments, field testing, data analysis, and preparation of technical reports. The position supports lead engineers in evaluating ground conditions and providing engineering recommendations for construction and infrastructure projects

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in geotechnical site investigations, including soil sampling.

• Assist with borehole drilling, SPT, soil testing, and field investigations.

• Monitor and document drilling and geotechnical field activities.

• Collect, organize, and analyze soil data.

• Prepare borehole logs, soil profiles, test results, and technical documentation.

• Assist in geotechnical calculations and interpretation of laboratory/field test results.

• Support preparation of geotechnical investigation reports.

• Assist in evaluating soil bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, and foundation conditions.

• Coordinate with drilling crews, laboratory personnel, surveyors, contractors, and project engineers.

• Ensure that field activities comply with project specifications, safety requirements, and applicable standards.

• Maintain accurate records, photographs, measurements, and field reports.

• Perform other engineering tasks assigned by the Lead Geotechnical Engineer.

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of:

  • Soil mechanics
  • Engineering geology
  • Foundation engineering
  • Site investigation
  • SPT and borehole investigation
  • Soil classification
  • Geotechnical laboratory testing

• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.

• Familiarity with geotechnical software is an advantage.

• Willing to work in Batangas
