Junior Geotechnical Staff Engineer

We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill a Junior Geotechnical Staff Engineer position in our Chattanooga, TN office.

Duties:

• Perform geotechnical field investigations. This may include boring layouts, drilling inspections, and running geophysical surveys
• Coordinate and assist with managing the scope of services provided by subcontract drilling firms
• Perform visual classification and laboratory testing of soil samples
• Perform geotechnical field inspections during the construction phase, as needed
• Assist in preparing geotechnical engineering reports
• Participate in meetings with design team, stakeholders, and clients

Requirements

• B.S. degree in civil engineering or related field
• 0 to 2 years of progressive experience in the geotechnical engineering field
• EIT license is a plus
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Driver's License Required
• Possess a high capacity for self-motivation and be able to apply engineering knowledge to a variety of projects
• This position occasionally requires carrying 50-70 pounds

Salary Range: $20 - $28 per hour

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
