About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Golang Developer who is keen to build a strong foundation in backend engineering. You will work alongside our senior engineers on the services, APIs, and data pipelines that power our IoT and data-driven platforms, and you will grow into larger areas of ownership as you build experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Golang
• Build and support REST and gRPC APIs for large-scale data systems
• Write and optimize PostgreSQL queries and handle database interactions
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams on end-to-end delivery
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, and incorporate feedback from code reviews
• Take part in design discussions and contribute to architecture improvements

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of backend development experience (internships and substantial project work will be considered)
• Working knowledge of Golang, including a clear understanding of goroutines and channels
• Good understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database fundamentals
• Familiarity with REST API design and Git-based workflows
• Strong problem-solving ability and a willingness to learn quickly
• A sense of ownership over the work you deliver

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Docker and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with message queues such as Kafka or NATS
• Knowledge of gRPC, Node.js, or TypeScript
• Experience with Redis, Prometheus, Grafana, or Kubernetes
• Understanding of CI/CD workflows
• Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced product environment
