Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Ingenium Developer with 3-5 years of experience in the Life Insurance domain and hands-on expertise in the Ingenium Policy Administration System (PAS). The candidate will be responsible for developing, configuring, enhancing, testing, and supporting insurance applications built on the Ingenium platform.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of Indian Life Insurance business processes, policy administration functions, and product implementation within Ingenium.

Key Responsibilities

Ingenium Development Configuration

• Develop and maintain business functionality within the Ingenium Policy Administration System.
• Configure life insurance products, policy rules, workflows, and business validations.
• Implement enhancements and change requests as per business requirements.
• Participate in product setup, testing, and deployment activities.

Application Development

• Analyze functional specifications and convert them into technical solutions.

• Develop and support modules related to:

  • New Business
  • Underwriting
  • Policy Issuance
  • Premium Processing
  • Policy Servicing
  • Claims Maturity

• Perform code reviews and unit testing to ensure quality deliverables.

Support Maintenance

• Provide production support and issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot application defects and perform root cause analysis.
• Participate in release implementation and post-production support activities.
• Ensure adherence to SLA commitments and quality standards.

Collaboration Delivery

• Work closely with Business Analysts, Architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in requirement discussions and technical design reviews.
• Prepare technical documents, deployment notes, and support documentation.

Required Skills Experience

Technical Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in application development and support.

• Hands-on experience in Ingenium Policy Administration System.

• Good knowledge of:

  • COBOL
  • JCL
  • SQL
  • Oracle Database
  • Linux/Unix environments

• Experience in configuration and implementation of insurance products within Ingenium.

• Exposure to PathFinder and ProductXpress will be an added advantage.

Insurance Domain Knowledge

• Strong understanding of the Indian Life Insurance industry.

• Knowledge of end-to-end policy administration processes:

  • New Business
  • Underwriting
  • Policy Servicing
  • Premium Collection
  • Claims Processing
  • Customer Service Operations

• Awareness of IRDAI regulations and compliance requirements.

Soft Skills

• Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Strong commitment to quality and timely delivery.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Insurance certifications will be an added advantage.
