Junior Interior Designer

About the role

Assist senior interior designers in developing design concepts, producing technical drawings, and supporting all phases of interior design projects. You will help create functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing spaces while meeting client requirements, budgets, and schedules.

Key responsibilities :

• Assist in researching design trends, materials, colors, furniture, and finishes
• Prepare mood boards, color palettes, material samples, and preliminary design sketches
• Help develop 2D/3D layouts, space plans, and conceptual design presentations
• Support senior designers in refining concepts based on client feedback
• Create and revise interior design drawings: floor plans, furniture layouts, reflected ceiling plans, lighting plans, elevations, and sections
• Produce 3D renderings and visualizations for client presentations
• Prepare detailed specifications, finish schedules, and furniture/equipment lists
• Ensure drawings comply with building codes, safety standards, and accessibility requirements
• Assist in coordinating with architects, contractors, vendors, and suppliers
• Help track project progress, monitor budgets, and maintain design timelines

Qualification :

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field
• Proficient in AutoCAD / ArchiCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max / Blender, Revit
• Good skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office / Excel for schedules and reports
• Basic understanding of construction, materials, lighting, color theory, and furniture styles
• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards
• Strong sense of aesthetics, creativity, and attention to detail
• Good time management, organization, and ability to meet deadlines
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and work as part of a team
• Basic communication skills — able to explain ideas clearly
