Junior Interior Designer

Role Description The Senior Interior Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This position involves leading interior design projects from concept to completion, including space planning, material and finish selection, and development of detailed drawings and presentations. The Senior Interior Designer will collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to understand requirements, present design solutions, and ensure that projects align with brand standards and user experience goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with contractors and suppliers, reviewing site progress, maintaining design documentation, and ensuring timely project delivery. The role also includes mentoring junior designers, contributing to design guidelines for the platform, and staying updated on interior trends and products featured on Thinkhome.in.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in interior design, space planning, and concept development, with a portfolio demonstrating residential and/or commercial projects.
• Proficiency in design and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D rendering software, Adobe Creative Suite) to produce drawings and presentations.
• Experience in materials and finishes selection, furniture and lighting specification, and coordination with vendors and contractors.
• Project management abilities, including budgeting, scheduling, site supervision, and quality control for end-to-end design execution.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly, negotiate with stakeholders, and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, with several years of experience in a senior or lead designer role.
• Knowledge of current interior design trends, sustainable design practices, and familiarity with digital platforms that connect brands, designers, and consumers.
• Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and mentor junior team members in a fast-paced environment.
