Junior Internal Auditor

Key Responsibilities:

The Junior Internal Auditor is responsible for conducting or assisting reviews of assigned organizational and functional activities and evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of the management controls over those activities. S/he conducts audit assignments in accordance with accepted professional standards and reports audit findings to make sound recommendations for the correction of unsatisfactory conditions.

1. Provides assistance to the Senior Internal Auditor and Internal Audit Team Lead in effectively performing the audit engagements.

2. Provides assistance to Senior Internal Auditor and Internal Audit Team Lead in developing a risk-based audit program.

3. Entails identifying creative insights, outliers, and value by carrying out analytical procedures.

4. Contributes in identifying improvement opportunities and risk factors from analyzing company operational functions.

5. Provides relevant information under review such as findings and recommendations to organization’s management.

6. Communicates and reaches agreements on findings with the auditee. Initiates remedial action to resolve the findings.

7. Performs other ad hoc assignments based on management requests.

8. Creates draft internal audit report and discusses with the right management level.

9. Performs other tasks related to the function that may be assigned from time to time.

Skills and qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is an advantage

At least one to two years of relevant experience in internal and external auditing

Critical thinking and analytical skills

Problem solving and decision-making skills

Oral and written communication skills

Knowledge in audit principles and regulatory standards

Knowledge in government regulations and compliance

Operational knowledge in food production and manufacturing is an advantage

Proficiency in computer operations, specifically MS applications
