Junior Internal Auditor

Job dimensions

• Establishing an appropriate internal environment, including a risk management framework;
• Identifying potential threats to the achievement of the objectives;
• Ensure that all the business processes in a company are risk-management compliant.
• Auditing and checking compliance of the company’s overall operation in respect of Group Policies and Procedures running all departments and business.

Activities

• Assist with planning the activities of Internal Audit Department (Preparation of Audit Plan)
• Coordinate and execute annual audits as planned.
• Review and follow up various reports and recommendations given by the internal auditors (Company)
• Follow up whether corrective measures have been taken based on external auditors’ opinion given through ICM (Internal Control Memorandum).
• Discuss with concerned departments on various issues of business risk areas to take appropriate corrective measures on time.
• Ensure the proper implementation of Group and Company policies and procedures.
• Assist in ensuring that the business activity is in line with laws and regulations of the country.
• Produce various opinions and recommendations to management whenever necessary.
• Handle special audit assignments on fraud, theft, and other risk areas as per the request of his/her hierarchy or any member of MANCOM.
• Ensure that the risk map is kept updated, and that the controls implemented are sufficient/robust to cover the identified risk, propose/simplify in all cases where possible
• Communicate directly to N+1 on any situation that must be escalated and requires attention.
• Ensure that the system in place can safeguard the company’s asset.

All functions as outlined above, and any other duties may be assigned and agreed from time to time.

• Interacts with the entire organization for his/her functions

Qualifications/Experience required

• First degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
• At least two (3) years’ experience in a similar position
• Chartered Accountant (ACCA/CPA) and/or CIA is considered an asset.
• Excellent contact with people, excellent command of English; French and Spanish are an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite of applications such as Word, Excel, etc.
