Junior IT Assistant

*Position Overview*

M-Scents is looking for a motivated and reliable Junior IT Assistant to join our team in Overport, Durban. The successful candidate will provide general IT support, assist with day-to-day technical queries, and work with the company’s IT systems to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

*Key Responsibilities:*

* Provide general IT support to employees across the business.

* Assist with the setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of IT systems.

* Monitor and assist with day-to-day system-related queries.

* Assist employees with technical problems and provide timely solutions.

* Support the installation and configuration of software and IT equipment.

* Maintain basic IT records and documentation.

* Escalate complex technical issues when required.

* Assist with system updates, maintenance and general IT administration.

* Ensure IT equipment and systems are used appropriately and efficiently.

* Provide ongoing support to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.

*Minimum Requirements:*

* At least 1 year of experience in a similar IT role.

* Certificate or Diploma in Information Technology will be advantageous.

* Relevant IT knowledge and practical experience will be considered.

* Good understanding of basic computer systems, software and hardware.

* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

* Strong attention to detail

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

* Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
