Key Responsibilities

Driving & Logistics

• Collect and deliver equipment, hardware, documentation, and supplies to clients, suppliers, and vendors.
• Assist with company logistics and operational requirements.
• Ensure company assets are transported safely and responsibly.
• Maintain a professional and courteous manner while representing CBIT at client sites and supplier locations.

Onsite Support Assistance

• Assist technicians during onsite client visits.
• Help with workstation deployments, computer setups, equipment installations, and office moves.
• Assist with cable management, equipment preparation, and hardware rollouts.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and support tasks under the guidance of experienced technicians.
• Assist with physical installations and movement of IT equipment as required.

Internship & Learning Activities

• Learn the day-to-day operations of a Managed Service Provider.
• Assist with internal projects, documentation, administration, and operational tasks.
• Complete assigned internship projects and report progress to management.
• Follow structured learning plans and development objectives.
• Participate in ongoing training and skills development initiatives.
• Gain exposure to real-world business technology environments and client support processes.

Professional Representation

• Act as a professional representative of CBIT at all times.
• Maintain a professional appearance and high standard of personal presentation.
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
• Demonstrate excellent manners, punctuality, and professionalism.
• Uphold CBIT's values and reputation through positive behaviour and conduct.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid South African driver's licence.
• Basic understanding of computers and Information Technology.
• Passion for technology and a genuine desire to build a career in IT.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Physically fit and healthy, with the ability to move, carry, and install IT equipment when required.
• Of sober habits.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and dependable.
• Professional, well-presented, and client-focused.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable interacting with clients, suppliers, and colleagues in a professional environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.

Advantageous

• Currently studying towards, or recently completed, an IT-related qualification.
• Previous exposure to Microsoft 365, Windows, networking, or IT support environments.
• CompTIA A+, N+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or similar certifications.
• Previous customer service or client-facing experience.
• Experience working with computers, hardware, or technical equipment.
