Junior IT Staff

About the role

MHI Power Technical Services Corporation is seeking a Junior IT Staff to join our growing Information Technology team based in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented professional to begin or advance their career in networks and systems administration. You will provide essential technical support and assistance in maintaining, troubleshooting and optimizing our IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations across the organization. This role is vital to supporting our business continuity and enabling our teams to work efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users, responding to IT help desk tickets and resolving hardware, software and connectivity issues
• Assist in the installation, configuration and maintenance of computer systems, networks, servers and peripherals
• Monitor network performance and system health to identify and address potential issues proactively
• Support the deployment and rollout of software updates, patches and system upgrades across the organization
• Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, incidents and resolutions
• Assist with user account management, access controls and IT security protocols
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and collaborate with senior IT staff to resolve complex technical problems
• Participate in IT projects and initiatives under the guidance of senior team members
• Maintain IT facilities and ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and procedures
• Identify and implement opportunities for workflow improvement and process automation.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot applications and tools within a Windows-based development environment.
• Apply basic to intermediate AI knowledge to support process optimization, automation, and business solutions.

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Strong foundational knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and network protocols

• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems (ver. 11), including installation and basic administration

• Experience with hardware troubleshooting, system diagnostics and basic IT infrastructure support

• Understanding of IT security best practices and data protection principles

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think logically through technical issues

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and take direction from senior staff

• Must be willing to undergo the hiring process and work on-site in Mandaluyong
