What they need
Junior Ivalua Consultant
Location: Remote | Type: Contract | Experience: 2 to 4 years | Pay: $80-$110/hr
About the Role
We're hiring a Junior Ivalua Consultant to do hands-on configuration work on a live Source-to-Pay implementation. Most of your week sits inside Ivalua: building workflows, approval chains, business rules, forms and fields, then testing what you built and fixing what breaks.
The team is a source-to-pay consultancy that advises on and implements enterprise spend management platforms, currently delivering for a large energy client in the US. You'll work alongside senior functional consultants who have run these implementations before, which is the fastest way to pick up the parts of Ivalua that never show up in the documentation.
Worth being upfront about the shape of this one. It starts as a one-month engagement. If the work is good and the project needs hold, it extends, and there's a path to full-time for anyone whose compensation expectations line up with the client's bands.
What You'll Do
- Configure Ivalua modules: workflows, approval processes, business rules, forms, fields, notifications, user roles and permissions
- Sit in on requirements and solution design sessions, then turn what was agreed into working configuration
- Write and maintain configuration documentation, functional design notes, and process flows
- Run unit and functional testing on your own work before it goes anywhere near the client
- Support SIT and UAT, including building test scenarios, chasing down defects, and verifying fixes
- Help validate migrated data against the business rules it is supposed to follow
- Flag gaps between what the client asked for and what standard Ivalua does, early rather than late
- Hand off cleanly to technical and integration resources when a requirement crosses into APIs, data, or custom development
Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years in Source-to-Pay or procurement technology, including hands-on time configuring Ivalua
- Working understanding of procurement process: sourcing, contracts, supplier management, requisitions, invoicing
- Comfortable in a client-facing consulting setting, or clear evidence you're ready for one
- Able to take a workstream and run with it, surfacing progress, risks, and blockers without being asked
- Exposure to other spend management platforms (Coupa, SAP Ariba, Jaggaer) helps if your Ivalua depth is still building
- Energy or utilities experience is a plus, not a requirement
Why Join Us
Small project team, real ownership early. Consultants with genuine Ivalua configuration depth are hard to find, so the people who build that depth tend to get pulled into bigger work quickly. You'd be learning from consultants who have delivered these implementations across multiple clients, on an engagement that is live rather than in planning.
If you have a year or two of Ivalua behind you and want to go deeper rather than sideways, this is a good next step.
Other offers great for you!
