Junior Java / Node.js Developer (POS / RMS Integration Project) 9 month contract

Position Overview

We are looking for a Junior Java / Node.js Developer to join an exciting POS (Point-of-Sale) / RMS (Restaurant Management System) Integration Project. You will work closely with an experienced Solution Architect who will provide technical guidance, break down project requirements into implementation tasks, and coordinate development activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for junior developers who are eager to gain hands-on experience in enterprise system integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application features for the POS/RMS integration project.
• Implement assigned functions and modules based on technical specifications provided by the Solution Architect.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Java or Node.js.
• Collaborate closely with QA engineers and other developers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and best practices.
• Support system integration testing and deployment activities.
• Prepare technical documentation where required.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of software development experience (Fresh graduates with strong internship/project experience are also welcome).
• Knowledge of Java or Node.js development.
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and backend development.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of Git version control.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to POS, Retail, Restaurant Management Systems (RMS), or system integration projects.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, SQL, or cloud technologies is an advantage.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
