About the role
A Junior Lawyer who supports senior attorneys by conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and contracts, and managing case files under close supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Legal Research: Finding case law, statutes, and regulations to support active cases or advisory opinions.
- Drafting Documents: Preparing legal briefs, motions, pleadings, letters, and routine contracts.
- Case Management: Organizing files, tracking court calendars and deadlines, and maintaining client records.
- Court and Administrative Support: Attending hearings, taking notes, filing documents with judicial bodies, or assisting during depositions.
- Client Interaction: Participating in initial client interviews, communicating updates, and explaining basic legal options.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- Admitted to the local Bar (or active member in good standing).
- Strong analytical, writing, and independent research abilities.
- Generally, 0 to 2 years of practice or fresh bar passers.
