Junior Litigation Attorney

About This Position McElroy Deutsch is seeking an attorney with at least one year of experience handling complex litigation matters, including insurance defense, construction, bankruptcy and/or commercial litigation, for our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office. Candidates who have clerked for a judge but who have not worked for a law firm also considered.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and file complaints, answers, motions, and discovery responses;
• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and clients on litigation issues;
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and manage discovery;
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, mediations, and depositions; and
• Engage in courtroom advocacy and motion practice.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school;
• Admission to the Pennsylvania bar and/or other state and federal bars;
• Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and
• Ability to manage complex cases and work collaboratively in a team environment.
