About the role
Elect is fast, challenging and focused — and we love it that way. This role supports the UK team with the day-to-day running of a scaling business, from payment runs and bookkeeping to VAT returns and statutory reporting, working closely with the operational, underwriting, and finance teams.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting the UK team with the day-to-day running of a scaling business
• Preparation of payment runs
• Liaising with the operational and underwriting teams to ensure compliance and accurate record keeping
• Assisting with bookkeeping and monthly payroll production on behalf of clients
• Preparing and producing VAT returns and compiling HMRC submissions for the UK entities
• Assisting with the production of profit and loss reports and reconciling balance sheets
• Supporting the Financial Controller in preparing annual accounts and submitting statutory returns to Companies House
• Intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing the Accounts mailbox and maintaining a swift turnaround on queries
• Daily and weekly cash reporting
