Junior Management Accountant

Our client, an established captive finance business across Australia and New Zealand backed by a global parent group, is growing its loan and lease portfolio and investing in Finance. They're seeking a Junior Management Accountant to own retail and wholesale pricing and lead forecasting and reporting.

You'll deliver monthly management reporting and variance analysis, manage budgeting and forecasting, and provide commercial analysis to support pricing, campaign and product decisions across ANZ.

Please note: We're looking for candidates with 3-5 years experience within the financial services industry. Unfortunately, we're unable to progress applications that don't meet these requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management reporting for financial services entities, including profit and loss, balance sheet, portfolio, margin and key performance indicators
• Deliver clear variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods, with commentary for business reviews and Board reporting
• Contribute to and help build the annual budget, rolling forecasts and long-range plan
• Calculate customer rates and campaign pricing across retail and wholesale channels
• Perform pre-launch scenario analysis and post-implementation reviews to assess volumes, yield, margin, return on assets, dealer outcomes and campaign effectiveness
• Work collaboratively with Sales, Treasury and OEM stakeholders on commercial initiatives, evidencing cross-functional partnering
• Perform model checks, reconciliations, reasonableness reviews and periodic back-testing to confirm accuracy and continued relevance
• Identify and apply technology-driven process improvements that strengthen controls, governance and efficiency

About you

• 3-5 years experience in management accounting, FP&A, commercial finance or pricing. Financial services industry is essential (SaaS, Technology, Fintech or Insurtech backgrounds also highly regarded)
• CA/CPA qualified or working towards
• Solid management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis skills, with an interest in developing pricing and financial modelling experience
• Good Excel skills; exposure to Power BI, ERP or planning tools an advantage
• Clear, concise communicator who can explain financial outcomes to senior and non-finance stakeholders
• Proactive, can-do approach. Someone who contributes ideas, leads initiatives and makes recommendations rather than just executing tasks
