About the Role

We are seeking a Junior QA Automation Tester with 1 year of experience to join our growing Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will build and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs to reduce manual regression effort. You will work closely with manual testers and senior engineers to build reliable test suites and accelerate release cycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Automated Script Development: Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for functional UI and API regression suites.
• API Testing: Build automated REST API test scenarios using Postman or code-based libraries to validate endpoints and response payloads.
• Defect Analysis: Run scheduled automated test suites, analyze failures to distinguish code bugs from flaky scripts, and log detailed defect reports in Jira.
• CI/CD Monitoring: Assist in triggering and monitoring automated test runs within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Agile Collaboration: Participate in sprint planning and daily standups to ensure user stories have automation-ready acceptance criteria.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year of hands-on experience in software testing with direct exposure to test automation.
• Programming Skills: Core proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java).
• Automation Frameworks: Hands-on experience with UI automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium WebDriver.
• Version Control: Understanding of basic Git workflows (pulling, committing, branching, and pushing code).

Debugging Tools: Proficiency using Chrome DevTools (Console, Network tab, CSS/XPath selectors) to troubleshoot test script failures.

Pay: Rs1.00 per month
