What they need
Role: Junior Marketing Assistant (Full-time)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, standard office hours)
You are likely the person who pays attention to why certain adverts grab your interest while others get scrolled past. When you see a campaign, you naturally notice the tone, the visuals, and whether the message actually lands, and you enjoy the creative process of turning ideas into well-formatted content.
If you are keen to start a practical career in marketing where you can help coordinate live campaigns, research target audiences, and track real promotional performance, this full-time role in Liverpool is a solid entry point. We are expanding our regional marketing support team and need a curious, organised Junior Marketing Assistant to help write copy, update social channels, and keep campaign schedules running on time.
Marketing & Campaign Duties
Working directly alongside our marketing executive and creative lead in Liverpool, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Drafting clear, engaging copy for social media posts, promotional emails, and website updates.
- Carrying out market research on competitor activity, audience trends, and local marketing opportunities across Merseyside.
- Preparing visual assets, image files, and campaign collateral using basic design software.
- Scheduling social media content calendars and monitoring audience comments and messages.
- Assisting with the coordination of offline promotional materials, print orders, and brand merchandise.
- Logging campaign metrics, tracking website visitor statistics, and compiling weekly performance summaries.
- Helping organise local promotional events, brand pop-ups, and photo shoots.
- Keeping our digital asset library and photo folders neatly organized for the wider team.
Candidate Attributes We Look For
We place much more weight on good written communication, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in marketing than on years of agency experience. We look for:
- Clear, accurate written English with good spelling, grammar, and proofreading habits.
- An organized, methodical approach to managing deadlines and keeping task lists updated.
- Basic familiarity with popular social media platforms, desktop publishing, or simple image editing software.
- Dependable personal habits regarding attendance, punctuality, and taking feedback constructively.
- A curious mindset and a willingness to learn how campaign data shapes marketing decisions.
- Previous experience in marketing, social media management, administration, university coursework, retail, or customer service is a plus, but not essential as full training is provided.
Practical Training & Skill Progression
We make sure you receive structured, hands-on guidance from day one so you can build real-world marketing capability with confidence.
Your onboarding begins with practical training on our content tools, analytics platforms, and brand guidelines. You will shadow our marketing lead through complete campaign launches, from initial briefing to post-campaign performance reviews. Through regular one-to-one coaching sessions, you will receive constructive feedback on your copywriting, asset creation, and campaign tracking. As your experience grows, you will take ownership of specific marketing channels and progress toward marketing executive roles.
