What they need
Junior Marketing Associate
After delivering more than 340 projects across brand, website and print work, Pixel Harbor Creative has recently expanded into New Orleans. We are now growing our local team and creating an opportunity for someone earlier in their marketing career to learn how strong ideas become properly planned, professionally delivered client projects.
You will contribute to active work from the beginning while receiving practical training from an experienced Marketing Manager. The long-term objective is to develop your research, campaign planning, client communication and project coordination skills until you are ready to manage smaller projects independently.
The Working Arrangement
- Salary: $47,000–$52,000 per year
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
- Hours: 40 hours with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Location: Fully on-site in New Orleans
- Reporting to: Marketing Manager
- Start date: Immediate availability preferred
Occasional attendance at client or industry events may be required, with advance notice provided wherever possible.
We also welcome applicants planning a self-funded move to New Orleans and looking to begin a new professional chapter. Relocation assistance is not available, so candidates must be able to complete their move before the agreed start date.
What You Will Learn and Deliver
You will begin by learning one part of our marketing process properly before progressing into wider responsibilities. Your work will include:
- Researching client industries, competitors and target audiences
- Turning client briefs into organized marketing and creative plans
- Supporting campaign schedules, deadlines and project documentation
- Coordinating content, design, website and print requirements
- Preparing presentations, progress updates and client materials
- Reviewing marketing assets for accuracy and brand consistency
- Tracking project activity and communicating changes to the team
- Supporting recorded training and written client handovers
- Gathering campaign results and preparing clear performance reports
- Contributing ideas based on audience behavior and market research
As your ability develops, you may be given responsibility for individual project stages before progressing to smaller client projects of your own.
What We Are Looking For
Some practical marketing exposure is preferred, whether gained through employment, an internship, freelance work or completed projects. A degree in marketing, business, communications or a related subject is welcomed but not essential.
You should be someone who:
- Communicates professionally with clients and colleagues
- Brings new ideas while remaining open to direction
- Enjoys researching markets, audiences and emerging trends
- Organizes details carefully and meets agreed deadlines
- Responds positively to coaching and constructive feedback
- Works well within a close, collaborative team
- Wants to understand why a campaign works, not simply complete tasks
How We Support Our Team
We believe that people produce their strongest work when they feel supported, respected and able to develop. Managers maintain an open-door approach, and senior leadership remains actively involved in project delivery, coaching and team development.
Our package includes:
- Medical, dental and vision insurance
- 401(k) plan with company match
- Paid vacation, sick leave and company holidays
- Up to $750 annually for approved marketing courses, software or creative technology
- Company-funded attendance at selected marketing and design events
- Access to available client-event tickets and networking opportunities
- Travel opportunities for approved projects and events
