Junior Mechanical Design Engineer

Duties

• Assist in the development and refinement of mechanical components and assemblies using software.
• Support system design activities by creating detailed schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical issues to identify underlying problems and propose effective solutions.
• Help develop control schemes involving Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and integrate them with mechanical systems for automation projects.
• Contribute to prototype testing, data collection, and analysis using LabVIEW or similar measurement systems.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure mechanical designs meet system requirements, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of mechanical principles, system design, and schematics.
• Familiarity with CAD software.
• Knowledge of LEGOO (preferred).
• Experience or coursework involving root cause analysis techniques.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with good communication skills and teamwork orientation.
